The Lordship of Allah (Tawheed Al-Rububiyyah).

The word 'Lord' refers to a relationship of dominance and control. Allah's Lordship over His creation means that He alone is their Creator, Master, and Regulator of their affairs.

In the context of invocation and supplication, Allah Says in the Qur'an:

{Say, "Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.} (Al-An'am:162(.

In the context of worshipping Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, Allah Say in the Qur'an:

{And why should I not worship He who created me and to whom you will be returned?} (Ya Sin: 22(.

Allah also said in Surah Al-Baqarah:

{O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous} (Al-Baqarah: 21).

Allah also said in the next verse:

{He who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him}. (Al-Baqarah:22).

The Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is therein is the only One who merits being taken by worshipers for a deity and protector.

Allah then Says in the Qur'an:

{Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Throne extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.} (Al-Baqarah: 255).

The Creator of the heavens and the earth is Alone the Living who never dies, the Self - Subsisting, the Omniscient, the Guardian, the Most High, the Supreme. Allah Says in chapter Qaaf:

{And We have already created man and know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him than [his] jugular vein.} (Qaaf: 16).

{Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Acquainted?} (Al-Mulk: 14).

Therefore, there is absolutely no doubt that He who created mankind is the one who watches over them, who understands their finest mysteries and is well acquainted with all that they do.

As for those who reject the Tawheed. Allah then Says about them:

{And most of them believe not in Allah except while they associate others with Him.} (Yusuf: 106).

Allah also says in chapter Zukhruf:

{And if you asked them who created them, they would surely say, " Allah ." So how are they deluded?} (Az-Zukhruf: 87(.

{Say, (unto them, O Muhammad): "Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth? Or who controls hearing and sight and who brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and who arranges [every] matter?" They will say, " Allah," so say, "Then will you not fear Him?"} (Yunus:31).

May Allah bless us with Tawheed in His Lordship and continue to bless us with His benevolent forgiveness.
