All the praises and thanks be to Allah Alone. Prayers and peace of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his family and companions.

Islam encourages everyone to acquire knowledge. It is the best act of worship with which one can seek nearness to his Lord, the All-Mighty. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “He who calls (people) to righteousness will have a reward (assured) for him like the rewards of those who adhere to it, without their rewards being diminished in any respect. And he who calls (people) to error shall have to carry (the burden) of its sin, like those who commit it, without their sins being diminished in any respect.” [Muslim].

The levels of knowledge and its status vary depending on the topic that it is discussing. There is no doubt that the most magnificent and honorable (noble) knowledge that one can have is the Book of Allah. The one who learns the Qur’an and teaches it to others is more honorable (and dignified) than the one who learns any other knowledge and teaches it.

Learning and teaching the Qur’an are among the noblest and best of good deeds, because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari.

Undoubtedly the one who teaches the people Qur’an is teaching the people good, and in fact he opens to them the greatest doors of goodness.

The pious predecessors of the Muslim nation and their followers were the people who did their utmost to learn and teach the Book of Allah and encouraged people to hope for the reward for that. What will follow are some of their blessed narrations and books on the Etiquettes of Learning and Teaching the Qur'an. Among the great and important books concerning this matter is;

* Akhlaaq Hamalat al-Qur’an by Imam al-Aajurri (may Allah have mercy on him).

* At-Tibyaan fi Adaab Hamalat al-Qur’an by Imam an-Nawawi (may Allah have mercy on him).

* Al-It-Tiqan Fi Ulum-l-Qur'an, by Jalaluddin As-Sayyouti

* The Book  " Khayrukum Man-tahalama-l-Qur'an Wa'alamahu" by Dr. Saeed Abdul-Adhim.

* Fadaahi-l-Qur'an by Abdullahi Ibn Jaaru-LLah.

Finally, one should be keen to acquire them, study them and benefit from their contents.
